Family Business

Everyone has a secret. The cake has a deadline.

◆ ◆ ◆

A mafia-style secret-role game for the birthday party. Each guest gets a sealed dossier with a hidden role and three secret missions to finish before cake cutting. At the reveal, the Detective names the Don.

How to play

The setup
  • The host enters the birthday star's name, the guest list (5–12 players), and the cake-cutting time, then deals the roles.
  • Each guest gets a personal link to their sealed dossier — share it with Nearby Share / copy it, or use pass-and-play on one phone.
  • The birthday star gets no role — she is the Boss of Bosses. Every mission ultimately serves her.
Omertà — the code of silence
  • Your role and missions are secret. Tell no one. Lie beautifully.
  • The Family (Don, Consigliere, Cleaner) works in the shadows. The Consigliere knows who the Don is.
  • The Law (Detective, Informant) hunts the Don. The Informant knows one Family member's identity.
The finale
  • Before the cake is cut, everyone gathers for the reveal.
  • The Detective names the Don. Right — THE LAW WINS. Wrong — THE FAMILY WINS.
  • Any civilian who finished all 3 missions is declared Made.
